Yikes! Definitely not. If it was, Rosie wouldn’t be doing it! Many mystical and traditionally female practices - including the Tarot - have been demonized by patriarchal organized religion. Tarot cards are simply archetypal symbols that provide guidance and invitations into deeper knowing. However, while there is absolutely nothing dangerous or unsafe about the Tarot itself, Rosie does caution against unethical or predatory readers. Beware of anyone who purports to predict an unchangeable future, insists that you're "cursed" or that you have a "dark aura", or tries to sell you overpriced crystals or spell-work to ward off evil.

While it’s lovely to receive a gifted deck, it’s certainly not a pre-requisite to reading Tarot! This is a mysterious, wild, and intuitive practice without hard and fast rules. There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying your own Tarot deck and, in fact, can often create a more personal relationship with it!

Tarot follows a specific traditional archetypal 78 card structure consisting of the Major and Minor Arcana. Oracle cards can contain any number of cards on any theme and their own system of interpretation. Both are beautiful mediums for communicating with Spirit and deepening one's own intuition.
